Regarding your thread about phpmyadmin, you need to modify the line which indicates the CONFIG_FILE in /usr/share/phpmyadmin/libraries/vendor_config.php and set it to /etc/phpmyadmin/ so that's define('CONFIG_DIR', '/etc/phpmyadmin/'); I couldn't respond on the thread though, feel free to post this solution for other people :)
