I have installed Telaen Webmail 1.2.0, however, I cannot send or receive mail. The interface says mail sent, however it never gets their or come back from another email address of mine off this network. I have look every where to find solution in forum. This is mailog: Feb 19 18:46:38 server1 postfix/postfix-script: starting the Postfix mail system Feb 19 18:46:38 server1 postfix/master[1830]: daemon started -- version 2.3.3, configuration /etc/postfix Feb 19 18:50:37 server1 dovecot: pop3-login: Aborted login: rip=::ffff:127.0.0.1, lip=::ffff:127.0.0.1, secured Feb 19 18:50:37 server1 dovecot: pop3-login: Login: user=<web1_charles>, method=PLAIN, rip=::ffff:127.0.0.1, lip=::ffff:127.0.0.1, secured Feb 19 18:50:37 server1 dovecot: POP3(web1_charles): Disconnected: Logged out top=0/0, retr=0/0, del=0/0, size=0 Feb 19 18:51:01 server1 dovecot: pop3-login: Login: user=<web1_charles>, method=PLAIN, rip=::ffff:127.0.0.1, lip=::ffff:127.0.0.1, secured Feb 19 18:51:01 server1 dovecot: POP3(web1_charles): Disconnected: Logged out top=0/0, retr=0/0, del=0/0, size=0 Feb 19 18:51:01 server1 dovecot: pop3-login: Login: user=<web1_charles>, method=PLAIN, rip=::ffff:127.0.0.1, lip=::ffff:127.0.0.1, secured Feb 19 18:51:01 server1 dovecot: POP3(web1_charles): Disconnected: Logged out top=0/0, retr=0/0, del=0/0, size=0 Feb 19 18:51:08 server1 dovecot: pop3-login: Login: user=<web1_charles>, method=PLAIN, rip=::ffff:127.0.0.1, lip=::ffff:127.0.0.1, secured Feb 19 18:51:08 server1 dovecot: POP3(web1_charles): Disconnected: Logged out top=0/0, retr=0/0, del=0/0, size=0
If you are using webmail then you should be connecting to dovecot using IMAP not pop3 and from the logs there is nothing about SMTP. Please get the logs immediately when you hit send in the interface, postfix should log the error that will help in debugging this issue.

It seems like the mail is being sent from server1.jtec1.com instead of jtec1.com that is why the mail is being rejected. Does the mail go through if sent from the command line ? It also seems like you have not setup the alternatives properly as sendmail seems to still be working as well. Code: alternatives --config mta #select postfix Post your postfix config lets see what the issue could be

Topdog thanks again for your help. So what I did after your help was reinstalled Telaen Webmail 1.2.0. Then went to /home/admispconfig/ispconfig/web/webmail/inc/config.php of the Telaen Webmail program. Made changed in the type detect area, this area had pop3, port 110 before and nothing in $mail_detect_folder_prefix ="" $mail_detect_remove = "www."; $mail_detect_prefix = "mail."; $mail_detect_login_type = "%user%@%domain%"; $mail_detect_protocol = "imap"; $mail_detect_port = "143"; $mail_detect_folder_prefix = "mail.yourdomain.com"; Then under Specify mail transport type area of script, I changed : $mailer_type = "mail"; to $mailer_type = "smtp"; Then under Your local SMTP Server (alias or IP) area of script, I put my Ip address: $smtp_server = "192.168.1.100"; #YOU NEED CHANGE IT !! This had local host inserted at first. Now I get and send email to myself on my network, however I don't no if it will receive and send from some one else outside of my network. If yo get a chance email me at [email protected] and I will let you know if it is receiving. Now, I am getting my data base and user showing as: Database Name Database User web1db1 web1u1 If you notice there is no under score between the number and letters. It should look like this : Database Name Database User web1_db1 web1_u1 The file are being displayed from the database without problem so far. I have reinstalled, however, still get this error in Centos 5. Thanks again Topdog
Topdog I received your test email and sent one back. I assume yo received it. The only other problem I am having is database: Now, I am getting my data base and user showing as: Database Name Database User web1db1 web1u1 If you notice there is no under score between the number and letters. It should look like this : Database Name Database User web1_db1 web1_u1 The file are being displayed from the database without problem so far. I have reinstalled, however, still get this error in Centos 5.
That's the default behaviour since ISPConfig 2.2.20. We have removed the underscore because it can cause MySQL problems.
