Hello, I would like to use LVM for storing the data of the Xen DomU's. But virt-install only allows disk images to be used. How do I do this with Centos5 ? The plan is to use ATAoE afterwards from the storage server to the Xen servers to use Live Migration instead of an NFS server which seems to perform too poor. Thank you. Jonathan Gijsen.
virt-install does not care if your images will be sitting on LVM or normal disk so just create a file system on your LVM and point virt-install to put its images there.
And is there an impact in performance if it writes directly to the lvm itself or if there is an image on top of it ? I'm testing this at the moment: http://meshier.com/2007/06/13/xen-clustering-with-centos-5/
