    Hi, I'm new to these forums. Thanks in advance for any help.

    I have a new domain name that I registered. I set up dns records on my server with ISPConfig, using the helpful howtoforge tutorial.

    I believe that I have all my settings setup correctly, however, it's been a week, and the domain name still does not resolve. I think I must be doing something wrong. Can anyone help?

    The domain name is driims.com

    The two dns servers are ns1.danandtovi.com and ns2.danandtovi.com

    output of dig @ns1.danandtovi.com driims.com

    Is it possible that the DNS record just needs more time to propagate? I thought that generally 3 to 4 days was all it needed to start showing up.

    Thanks for any help or advice!

    Update

    I talked with my domain name company, and they say that I need to register my name servers with a global name server registry? So I asked them to do that. Anyone heard of this requirement?

    http://guide.opendns.com/?url=driims.com&servfail
    * ns1.abac.com returned (NORECORDS)
    * ns2.abac.com returned (NORECORDS)

    not pointing to your DNS server

    i would recheck my settings on the place i got my name from and see if i got it setup right
    best of luck
