What other linux dostro's are available when useing the xen-create-image command for example ubuntu hardy heron? hotchilli
ill try to explain what if do with my poor english. I allways install ubuntu server and vmware server, and then, the real server (other ubuntu server or windows, thats depends on every client). When all its installed and working, u take a copy of the entire system. Periodically, i take copies of the entire systems. If i need a bigger server, i install userver on the new server, and i just have to copy the vm... and thats all, the new server is working. If my server crashes, i get another computer and put the virtual machine on it, it quick and simple. I hope i have help you
Thanks for your post but not sure if i understand fully. to make it simple is there a way to put Hardy on etch? also mimimal with X?(iI expect since xen is transparent X will be needed on dom0 also) hotchilli

Take a look at http://www.howtoforge.com/ubuntu-7.10-server-install-xen-from-ubuntu-repositories It explains how to find out which distros are supported.
