Hello! Sorry if the problem is trivial but I can't find answer. I have installed ISPConfig and have e.g. www.domain.com site. When I go to User & Email -> New I have field Email Address [email protected]. BUT after I save this account the ISPConfig creates email address [email protected] (with www at the beginning) and of course rejects emails for [email protected]. Emails sent for [email protected] are delivered correctly. What am I doing wrong? I need to have emails directly in domain.com. Tomasz
Same problem... I've got the same problem like that, you descibed above. (And "garfabian" got it too as we can see...) You found an error? Great! But you did not describe it. Please drop us a line - what we are doing wrong? Greetings from Poland,
Well, but i've got! I install sities as admin (no limits on webs, domains etc). First few was ok, butonce things went wrong and now at every next one I have that problem. (I reinstalled yesterday ISPConfig after few "trial-days" exactly because that problem was born - and now I have it again ) Now in form "ISP user" on tab "User & Email" I can see (for ex.): Email Address: [_______]@www.subvenio.pl but in line below Username: subvenio.pl_[_______] without "www"! (As you can see i use [DOMAIN] string in username prefix.) And (checked twice) on "Co-Domain" tab is present "subvenio.pl" without www. Have you got any idea? BTW: Thanks for fast answer (and for ISPConfig too - very much ).
To change your username prefix to include also the host (www), you can use the placeholder [HOSTDOMAIN] instead of [DOMAIN]. But you can also leave it as it is now. The email addresses where created for [email protected] and for [email protected] if there is a co-domain subvenio.pl with empty host field.
No. Username prefix is ok for me. Problem is with host apearring in created e-mail address. When I leave empty host field it looks like this: Email Address: [_______]@.subvenio.pl with "@.domain". I will check /etc/postfix/virtusertable on the evening today and than I'll give you a sign. Now I've got only acces via port 81 to that server, so I done simple test: 1. I made user account (without host) subvenio.pl_test with address [email protected] (with that dot, which ISPConfig is inserting) and then 2. I send mail to [email protected] (without dot) and 3. I login via webmail using again [email protected] and could see that e-mail which I send. So I see, I can live with that problem - even if it is confusing to site-admins I will try to investigate it deeper and I will write when I will find something... Strange is that: i've got webs (domains) without this problem on the same server! Thanks for your time.
