I was making some new user gjuytdehaag.com today and it failt, a couldn't login by mail and could not upload files so I have a look to figure it out. The user and domain are registered in sql like all other. So in SQL there is no fault i think. That was not a good Idea because you messed up the permissions of the site now. The errors you got on the shell are the result of this command. Do you have any data in the site? If not, you should delete the whole site and then create it again, this will be eeasier then fixing the problems that resultet from the chgrp command. To your original problem, if a user that you added is not created, the daemon process might have dies. Run /etc/init.d/ispconfig_server restart to start it again.

There is no known problem in the current ISPConfig releases. I expect it to be something specific to your installation. Please have a look in the /home/admispconfig/ispconfig/ispconfig.log file for errors.
It is still going wrong. A new installation on a new server, and sometimes it goes wrong again, it stays now not on root but on www-data. you did not read my screens. Users cannot upload and cannot recieve mail when the user is www-data as owner. See the difference between owners and errors in the log. What do you think of that? I cannot upload and cannot change owner of folders, do you have another suggestion to fix the problems. I read your screens and this is still correct. It just indicates that you had not created admin users for all sites. The user ww-data is used as long as no other user with "administrator" priveliges has been created for this specific website. Please enable the administrator checkbox for the user that shall be able to upload files to this website. Please execute this command as root user on the shell: setquota -u infocayenneglobalnl 10240 11264 0 0 -a what is the exact error message that you get. To which value did you set the website quota for the website and the user in the ispconfig interface?

I'am pretty sure its not, or you are the first one of a few 10000 installations who encounters it which might be but its uncommon as most major bugs of a new release were reported within the first few hours after a release. Please answer my questions from the post above. What are the exact quota values that you set in the interface. I guess that you set the quota values either too low or that quota on your sytsem is not installed or works correctly.
I have no quotas, so every site has -1 at quota installation.
