    Hello,

I have an interesting issue where remotely, I cannot use the SMTP server period.

Locally, if I ssh in that is, I can use it fine, but with a remote connection (telnet or Thunderbird), I cannot even see the server as present.

What aside from the obvious issues (firewall, selinux), could be causing me my woes?

    Thanks much!
    Andrew.

You must tell your router to forward port 25 to the SMTP server.

Also, make sure that your ISP doesn't block port 25.

The router has a 1:1 mapping -- all ports are forwarded, this isnt a pick and choose.

Also this is a commercial acct, so all ports are open.

Yeah, I was curious if I was missing anything here.
