recovered a system from a big crash... all got i back to work.... but now i am unable to browse trough my files from a windows machine in an ubuntu 8.04 samba server ... lets take this share; Code: [algemeen] comment = Algemeen path = /home/samba/shares/algemeen valid users = @users force group = users create mask = 0660 directory mask = 0771 browseable = yes writable = yes these are de rights over the whole directoy; Code: drwxrwxr-x 10 root users 4096 2008-10-29 21:35 algemeen but the user (who is a member of users) is unable to view files in this share... any ideas?
after a couple hours of mapping groups, changing user rights and trying all stuff, it now works again... not knowing what was the issue.. SIGH
