Hi, this morning i noticed a subdomain not being reachable. Then I found out BIND service wasn't running and I couldn't get it to restart. I figured I might upgrade ispconfig. I'm running ubuntu 6.06 (I backed up the 'old' ispconfig database) When I did as explained on this page: http://www.ispconfig.org/manual_installation.htm I never got a 'upgrading' message or so, everything looked as if it was a new install. At the end, I got this as address to login to: http://88.208.xx.xx:81 doesn't work, neither does the 'old' one. I can still reach the server using putty. The sites are still there, but when I try to start apache it gives me a 'fail' message. What do I do apart from freaking out completely? Thanks!
Now, I've been retrying several times to upgrade, learning about the settings as I went, and somehow it now works. ispconfig has even picked up the old sites, no need to restore the database or so. However, BIND-Server is still 'offline'. What could cause that? (Now off to a relax-clinic)

Just this: OPTIONS="-u bind" -t /var/lib/named # Set RESOLVCONF=no to not run resolvconf RESOLVCONF=yes ~
Change Code: OPTIONS="-u bind[B][COLOR="Red"]"[/COLOR][/B] -t /var/lib/named to Code: OPTIONS="-u bind -t /var/lib/named[B][COLOR="Red"]"[/COLOR][/B]
Thanks for that. Made the change, tried starting manually, got the 'ok' message again, went to ispconfig, DNS Service still showing as offline, and can't get it to work...
Do you get any other errors now? What's in /var/log/syslog when you start BIND? What's the output of Code: netstat -tap ?
