    Hello Howtoforge community,

I set up the The Perfect SpamSnake but i guess the emails are beeing rejected and i don't know why. Here is a tail -f of my mail.log

What can be the cause of this? This happens for all emails received. I've filled the /etc/postfix/relay_recipients (no ldap) like ([email protected] OK) without brackets and i postmapped it

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Best regards,
    Teixeira

Does this happen when you send or when you receive emails?

First of all, if u allow me, i'll show u how i implemented it or at least try and how i guess is the best way, regarding my low experience.

    Maybe it can help.

    Please see http://imagebin.ca/view/cXWnLd.html

Regarding the pic above in the link, i only use spamsnake to RECEIVE emails,
bc its the first box in the higher priority in my DNS server, so from lan people connects to the #2 mailserver (The current main) and when other MTA's send emails to my domain, it goes forcibly first through the #1 MTA which is SpamSnake.

So i guess SpamSnake role here is just receive mails.

    Thanks for the help.

    Best regards,
    Teixeira

Remove the following from your recipient restrictions and reload postfix.

    reject_unknown_sender_domain

Do a test and see what happens

    Hi Rocky,

I guess you solve my problem.
As far as i noticed, its working.

btw, have you any comments to do about "my implementation" of spamsnake? regarding the pic http://imagebin.ca/view/cXWnLd.html

I'm newbie in Mailservers world, i don't know if my implementation is ok, im using MX priorities to force incoming emails go first into spamsnake and then spamsnake relays it to the final destination...

    Whats your opinion?

Thanks for all the help everyone provided here.

    Best regards,
    Teixeira

    Hey,

Glad we took care of the issue.

According to your diagram, I have the same exact setup and yours should work too. For a newbie, you're doing a great job, keep it up.
