    Hi,

I have digicam snaps on my hard drive which I would like to tranfer to a 1gb usb memory stick. Trouble is, I can't work out how to do it...

I have picasa and digikam available. The stick mounts okay but Digicam just seems to want to transfer the pictures to another folder on the hard drive. Picasa has a 'save as' function but I can't work out how to insert a 'to removeable media' command, or whatever it is supposed to be.

    Any ideas, anyone?

Have you tried to do this with the file explorer (Nautilus if you're on GNOME)?

No, I haven't. I use PcLinuxOS which is a KDE distro. Is there an equivalent to Nautilus in KDE? I've opened almost everything but haven't recognised it, if it is there.

    Yes, Konqueror.

Yes, I worked that out shortly after I last posted. But I still can't do what I want. It seems, cruising the web, that digital photography is not particularly well catered for in Linux.

I'll post on my distro's forum next. Thanks for your replies.

    Best wishes,
