I will be migrating from HSphere 3.1 because when Parallels bought PSoft they decided to jack up the licensing to a 250 license minimum @ $4.50 per license (instead of the previous 25 minimum licenses) which means for my small server with just ~20 users it just doesn't make sense! Hi, the perfect setup guide is for ISPConfig 2, it is incompatible with ISPConfig 3. If you want to use ispconfig 3, please reinstall your server and install it as described in the installation instructions which are in the ispconfig 3 tar.gz file.
Ok will do. Those instructions are for i386. Will this work on a x86_64 installation of CentOS 5.2? It only mentions installing 'Development Tools' and 'Development Libraries' - are there any package groups that I need to select during CentOS install? In the Perfect Server config is says... So I'm wondering if any of these is needed or just leave everything unchecked? I guess Admin Tools, Base, System Tools is needed right? Thanks.
The perfect setup installation is not related in any kind to ispconfoig 3 and can not be used for ispconfig 3, so it does not matter for ispconfig 3 what is written in the perfect setup guide! The ispconfig 3 installation should work on 64Bit systems as well. But be aware that support for centos is experimental, if you search for a better tested platform, you should use debian or ubuntu.
