    Hello everyone,

I have just installed this mod following the how-to. I'm assuming if I were to check if it is really blocking ips listed in spamhaus databases I just need to look into my apache2 log files. Also adding IPs onto the whitelist do I separate them with a white space or comma? Thanks for the awesome how-to's!

    I haven't tried this module, so I don't know if/where it logs.
Regarding the whitelist: I'd put one IP per line.

    Solved

I discovered apache2 logs it for each of my virtual domains being attacked by spambots. Looking into the directory of one my virtual domains

    /home/mysite/logs

    and doing a tail -f error_log

I saw an entry in the logs like:

    [Mon Dec 15 22:23:05 2008] [crit] [client 208.64.72.41] mod_spamhaus: address 41.72.64.208.sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org is blacklisted. Deny connection to www.mysite.com

Very cool! It has help reduce the abuse directed to all of my hosted web sites :D

Thanks! Falko for putting up this how-to.
