The installer script is written in PHP and not as a bash script. it is named install.php. A bash script is not nescessary to install ISPConfig.
Not for installation ispconfig. I think, I said wrong. Before installing ispconfig. we are setup many thing. Example: http://ispconfig.org/docs/INSTALL_CENTOS_5.2.txt I want to do this. people will use only a installation scripts for all of this.
I'd say those pre-steps are fine to be left out the installscript as it forces the user or better the _administrator_ to get at least a bit of knowledge what's happening in behind. I mean administrating a root / vserver it's not just throwing a CP on it and everything is fine, although the install process needs not to be pretty complicated.... @Till: btw. is an update routine planned in the installerscript?
