Hi I`m currently using freedns.afraid.org for my dns setup. I noticed today that there was something called backup dns wich basicly ment using freedns as secondary DNS server. This is a copy&paste from the site Is it possible to use this with ispconfig? In that case, how?
Yes, it's very easy. Let's say your ISPConfig box is ns1.example.com. Simply create all DNS records using ISPConfig's DNS-Manager (it takes care of the serials), and then tell freedns.afraid.org that the primary DNS server is ns1.example.com. Make sure your firewall on ns1.example.com doesn't block port 53 TCP and UDP. And at the registrar where you registered your domains you might have to specify the freedns.afraid.org name server as secondary name server. That's all.
Cool.... i`d like that tutorial to.... i use afraid systems to ... and i realy what to make my own reverses
