Hi I've attached a diagram of my workplace. I want to know that, is it possible to make it work without router? i want to make my server1 work as a router. if yes, then what will i need to do? is it done by routing? how? xxx.xxx.xxx.146,147 are static live ip. i want them accessible from outside world. btw my both servers are on Fedora 8.
Here are some links: http://lindesk.com/2007/04/internet-connection-sharing-using-iptables/ http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/rhel-fedora-linux-internet-connection-sharing-howto/ http://www.fs-security.com/docs/connection-sharing.php http://users.telenet.be/mydotcom/howto/lanconnect/router/linux.htm
I'm still stuck. My http and ftp servers are still not accessible from outside world. Those links are either for internet sharing or for simple networking. I want to set 2+ public/live ips on same machine without router. 1 guy told me it has something to do with routing or iptables.. im juz lost. *** Im getting ping to ONLY xxx.xxx.xxx.17 from outside world..
