So I have a domain from dyn dns http://patrickmcdougle.is-a-geek.com and I have the ISPconfig for websites and ftp down...now how do I do e-mail? I want to be able to type http://patrickmcdougle.is-a-geek.com/webmail and be able to login and receive e-mail. What are the steps in the ISP config web interface that I need to do to make this happen? I want one e-mail address to be [email protected], so use that in your example.
1) Go to the email module and create a email domain patrickmcdougle.is-a-geek.com 2) Create a mailbox for [email protected] 3) Go to the website module and create a website patrickmcdougle.is-a-geek.com. 4) create a subdirectory "webmail" in this website and install there a webmail application of your choice. Please be aware that almost all external servers will block your system for sending email as it has a dynamic IP address. So you might have to configure postfix to relay any outgoing mails trough a external mailserver.
ok, I wasn't aware that I had to install the webmail applicaton for each website that I made in ISPconfig.
Try to install the webmail application in /var/www/webmail and use this plugin http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34917
That is the kind of thing that I was looking for...I already had squirrelmail installed and wondered why it didn't work
