I followed Jeffrey Gellens article and all seems to be working fine, apart from one thing. I have one odd problem. Mail is showing up on the server in the user's Maildir, but when a client connects nothing shows in the Inbox. (Have tried a debian box with Iceweasel and a Windows Xp with Outlook Express). Outoging mail is being sent fine. Great article though, and I'm becoming an Arch Linux fan too...
What POP3 daemon is installed? I guess it's a daemon that uses mbox instead of Maildir... What's the output of Code: netstat -tap ?
The article only provides details for Dovecot IMAP - will pop over to the site tomorrow and run the netstat command. Thanks for your help, Ben
Really sorry for the late reapl y- I've only been able to get to the site today. We're trying to connect via IMAP. When we do connect we can see all the folders and send e-mail. E-mail sent to us however sits in the user's mail directory on the server, but never shows in the inbox. Strange really.
Hi, Apologies for the huge delay in replying. Finally got round to having a proper look through the server, and found that the users didn't have the correct permissions to access their own mail folders! All sorted now. Thanks for your help. Ben
