Hi, I would like to ask someone to help me configure my DNS. Right now I have the following: www.mydomain.com dns1 -> dns.somedomain.com dns2 -> dns2.somedomain.com ISPConfig interface -> http://mydomain.somedomain.com:81 What I want www.mydomain.com dns1 -> ns1.mydomain.com dns2 -> ns2.mydomain.com ISPConfig interface -> http://www.mydomain.com:81 I just need some advice as I can configure it myself if someone point me the right direction. falko or any other mod, sorry for another thread like that, but I really need this and I can't find a suitable tutorial for help me out..
You'd need a glue record for this (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domain_Name_System#Circular_dependencies_and_glue_records ). This tutorial should give you the idea: http://www.howtoforge.com/ispconfig_dns_providerdomain_schlund
thanks again falko, I have configured like this: 78.46.106.212 -> ns1.digiscrappersbrasil.com 78.46.106.212 -> ns2.digiscrappersbrasil.com I'm using the following dns to this domain (digiscrapersbrasil.com) NS1.DOMAINSITE.COM NS2.DOMAINSITE.COM is that correct? if I change the DNS for my websites it will work now? thanks once again
If you've created the glue records, you can now switch to ns1.digiscrappersbrasil.com and ns2.digiscrappersbrasil.com for the domain digiscrappersbrasil.com (of course, you must specify in your registrar's web interface that ns1.digiscrappersbrasil.com and ns2.digiscrappersbrasil.com are the authoritative nameservers for digiscrappersbrasil.com now).
