hello, I have recently installed successfully Darwin streaming server on CentOS but when Im trying to connect to it nothing happens... It identifies if the file I asked for exist or not,so if not it prints the message "no route to host". If the file does exist then it dosent play it, although it has recived the information about the movie accurate length time. Will appreciate if someone could help me, I've already searched through many many sites. thanks Dan.
thx for the reply and No I havent succeded playing their sample movies. I'm really lost, everywhere I checked everyone say's theres nothing to it but I cant seem to get that damn thing to work!
Is it on your LAN or "out there" ? Some firewalls block 554 (RTSP port), there is a setting in the dss admin interface to stream on port 80...
thx for the reply. its "out there". I've added the ports 8000,8001,7070 and 554 to the firewall so it wont block it. And I cant stream through port 80 becuase Its already in use by the server.
Ok, this means that SELinux is off, so that's not causing the problem. I have no idea what it could be...
