Hello After entering in the changes to the file on step 8 and running aptitude, I received multiple errors stating " Could not resolve 'security.ubuntu.com'. Any help would be well appreciated and the HowTo is stupendous! Thanks in advance, Lynn
Something I tried. Ok I decided to edit the /etc/hosts file to contain the IP address of the server and it still wouldn't connect saying this time (113 no route to host). Any help would be greatly appreciated. lynn
Figured out the problem Ok i figured it out. When I set my static IP for my server I lost internet connection. The whole reason I'm using this How-To and another How-To is to set up a DNS server so I can set static IP's in my LAN. My internet connected won't allow it or even give out there DNS server addresses unless you are business class. I'll figure it out, I hope. lynn
