Moving Web Directories on same server.

    Hi everyone.

    Preamble. Centos 5.4, Ispconfig2.recent.mumbles

Basically this is my first install of any Cpanel apart from webmin.
I only host about a dozen sites as a hobby for my self family and friends, but a few more folks have asked me about private mail and web services recently so decided to make things simpler.

After reading against installing Ispconfig on an existing system, I did it anyway. Since it was a test install more or less. I expected to screw up, and have.

For some unknown reason (to protect my existing sites), I installed ISP-config web root in var/www instead of var/www/html, therefore all the test sites created are not globally readable. Is there any easy way, (short of an unisntall, followed by a reinstall), to move the root web directories to var/www/html where they should be and so that ispconfig will recognize the correct location in future account creation.

    Many thanks in advance

    Tee.

The websites should be in /var/www and not in /var/www/html. If they were in /var/www/html, you would open up your system for hackers. So your setup is absolutely fine. Ypou can not manage sites atht have not been created with ispconfig and using webmin and ispconfig on the same server will mess up your setup.
