    Hello everybody,

I have a major issue with installing Ubuntu lucid lynx on a software RAID 10 system. I followed each and every step of the HowTo http://www.howtoforge.com/install-ubuntu-with-software-raid-10 precisely, but after the first reboot I got the error:no such device message and a GRUB rescue prompt.

As I am quite new to linux I can only guess what went wrong - the array is not available at this point and the system cannot be loaded.

    I would appreciate any help.

    Thank you in advance!

I also have results from bootinfo script available.
For information> I use a second RAID 10 for swap because without Ubuntu installer wouldnt find a SWAP partition.
Also I figure the problem is md0 is not available as sde.

    This thread can be closed.
I found a solution for my problem.
The alternate installer now can also setup complex RAID configurations including RAID10, so I erased my manual attempt and did it entirely with the installer.
