Centos 5.4 phpmyadmin no package available

I'm doing the perfect server in a 32 bit vm. Most of the instructions have been pretty straigh forward. I've gotten to the pint where I'm to edit the phpmyadmin.conf file. It doesn't exist on the server.

Must be early on in the install where all the different packages get installed. I've tried to add it by itself via yum install phpmyadmin (all the other php stuff appears to be there). I get a no package phpmyadmin available. How do I get it to install? I've been reading and trying different things for a few hours already.

I've downloaded the phpmyadmin from the phpmyadmin.net site but when I unpack it the conf file is not there so I'm going to assume I still don't have the right package.

    Any help is appreciated.

The how to forge is pretty good but there are some deviations from content to get things to the next step.

    Paul.

It helps to use the right architecture

I had the x86_64 arch set and need to use i386. Got it to install once I changed that.

The key is follow the instructions but modify for i386 in all cases!
