When streaming online video, will a faster cpu or a better gfx card benefit me more? I have a 128mb geforce 5500fx gfx card and was wondering if a better graphics card would help me more. I have a 2.10ghz amd 3000+ cpu. Thanks in advance!

You mean, when you're watching online video's?

In that case, it depends on the server side as well, pre buffering? What happens when you download the clip first and then play it.

If you play it locally and still plays like crap, you could try better hardware.
But with those specs i'd say you can play HD quality clips without any problem.

is there a cpu card or something that you can put like in a pci slot or something so you can have another cpu?

and online video will most likely use flash and I think flash only makes use of CPU and not GPU.

Are you setting up a media server (Outputting video to clients)?
If so, a grapics card would make no difference as it is outputted via ethernet from a file on the harddrive. Instead RAM would have a major effect.

    OR

    Retriving the video?
If so, a grapics card will make some difference, but soley depends on how its getting to you (internet connection/definition).
