Hi All, hopefully someone can help with this. I have ISPConfig running on top of Debian (It's the ISPConfig 3 virtual appliance image) and It's on a corporate network, sat behind a Proxy (a smoothwall firewqall / web proxy). Is there any way to set ISPconfig to use the proxy for internet access for things like updates and so on?

    Cheers!

There are no proxy settings in ISPConfig. You can use the manual update procedure to install updates:

But you should be aware that the spamfilter scoring might not work that well if the server can not connect to the dns blacklist services on the internet.

Yes, the spamfilter issue is causing me some problems, that's actually the main reason I want this to work.

Is there any way to do this at the OS level then if ISPConfig can't do it?

Might be possible, but I never tried it. You should search for something like "spamassassin behind proxy" or amavisd-new behind proxy" in google.

Additionally you should set the normal proxy settings in Linux, it might be that these applications use them.
