Hello, Thanks for the excellent guide for ISPConfig 3/Ubuntu 10.04. The produced system is very well integrated, and rather easy to use. I do have one issue, though, in that created email accounts ([email protected]) are unable to login. I have tried direct IMAP login, and login through SquirrelMail, and both fail. Here is a quick transcript: $ telnet server 143 Trying 192.168.1.15... Connected to server.domain.tld. Escape character is '^]'. * OK [CAPABILITY IMAP4rev1 UIDPLUS CHILDREN NAMESPACE THREAD=ORDEREDSUBJECT THREAD=REFERENCES SORT QUOTA IDLE ACL ACL2=UNION STARTTLS] Courier-IMAP ready. Copyright 1998-2008 Double Precision, Inc. See COPYING for distribution information. 01 LOGIN [email protected] password 01 NO Login failed. ^] telnet> quit Connection closed. And, the mail log: Aug 9 12:48:03 server imapd: Connection, ip=[::ffff:192.168.1.11] Aug 9 12:48:15 server imapd: LOGIN FAILED, [email protected], ip=[::ffff:192.168.1.11] Aug 9 12:48:24 server imapd: Disconnected, ip=[::ffff:192.168.1.11], time=21 I've checked that the user exists, and that the virtual mail folders were created. I've also reset the password for the user. Not quite sure where to go, from here. Thanks for any help!
Yep, I have tried normal email clients, as well. But, as you can see in my first post, I was trying to login via manual IMAP, with no success. Thanks!
Having the same issue here. I actually made my own thread which I'm now deleting. Running ISPConfig 3 on Debian Lenny. I've created an email domain and an email mailbox. When I try to log in via SquirrelMail, Outlook, Mail.app, and a few others I'm getting logs with "imapd: LOGIN FAILED, [email protected], ip=[IP]" mail.warn and mail.err are clean. Does it sound like I'm doing something wrong? Edit: I decided to wipe everything and reinstall. I'm up and running!
