Hi, I have defined several clients that can create/manage mailbox for their mail domains. When I client is connect to the hosting control panel, he can't see the "Custom Rules" tab in the mailbox section. As admin I can see the "Custom Rules" tab and define new rules for each mailbox. How a client can see (if it possible) mailbox "Custom Rules" tab in order to defines rules for the mailbox that he manage ? Thanks in advance Federico
The custom rules tab is not enabled for clients as this would cause a big security risk. He would be able then to add rules to read the emails from other users of the server.
I have the situation where a client wants all mail coming in copied to a specific mailbox of his domain. I as Admin can set a custom cc-rule for his mailboxes, but he would have to send me a notice every time he creates a new mailbox. As clients tend to forget tis method is rather error-prone. Can't I set up such a rule domain-wide (with the expection of the target mailbox of that rule of course) so my client and me don't have to bother?
Create a wildcard record for it. No, as the lda (maildrop or dovecot delib´ver), which does the delivery processes filtering rules on mailbox basis and not domain basis.
Wildcard was the first thing I tried but it seemsit would only work for addresses of that domain which are not already used for mailboxes.
