Basically, i installed the roundcube package off the front page of ispconfig.org, it works perfectly well sending and receiving mail,, except, i can't delete anything, a little error comes up the top saying "could not move the message"
so is this a directory/file rights issue? or what?
I've been looking through every log file in /var/log and checked the log file under /home/admispconfig/ispconfig/ispconfig.log
also i checked the log file under
    /home/admispconfig/ispconfig/web/roundcubemail/logs
    the errors and sendmail files.
i can't find anything refering to the server side script error being encountered.

so i'm at a brick wall at this stage as to where to find an error message to work from? Anyone able to help? Or anyone encountered this problem before?

I've never used Roundcube because the project is still in alpha or beta stage, so I guess there still some bugs in it.

    "Could not move message"

    NETabuse,

I have the same problem, but the message was correct deleted from my e-mail server. I use Microsoft Outlook in my job and access by IMAP my mailserver (ISPConfig + Postfix) and I don't see the message, only in RoundCube Webmail.

Do you have suggestions? The body of the message is blank, only the header is available.

    Thanks for any answer,

    Vinicius

Do you both use the latest RoundCube 0.1-rc1.1 package?
And did you reinitialise the RoundCube sqlite database?

The current RoundCube version is quiet stable, i use it on my servers for some time now without any problems.

By the way the first stable release is planned to be released on 1 October!

    Hans,

I have the last version of RoundCube, but what is the sqlite? Is the SQL code? Do you talk about the table message in the database?

I saw the table and confirm the "wrong" messages there. What is that registers? Can I delete the entries?

    Thanks for your help,

    Hans,

Thanks for your help, I found the registers in Message table, I delete the entries and the message headers disappear.

The problem happen with the Microsoft Outllok and IMAP sync. I change my setup in Outlook.

    Thanks again,

    Vinicius

The RoundCube package makes use of SQLite. Not MySQL.
    More about SQLite: http://www.sqlite.org/

It is recomended to upgrade as described here:
    http://trac.roundcube.net/trac.cgi/wiki/Howto_Upgrade

However, if you install the new Roundcube package with the update manager, RoundCube will be installed immediately. This means that it is possible that you have a cach problem or something and the SQLite database needs to be reinitialised. Reinitialisation can be done with the file sqlite.initial.sql, which is in RoundCubes SQL directory. If you do so, you will need to reinstall the package again.

I've also read within the forums that restarting the ISPConfig server can be a solution, but i did not try it myself. (I used the package version on my testing-server, but for my production servers, i make use of the MySQL-version of RoundCube). For more information about setting up the MySQL version, have a look here: http://www.howtoforge.com/roundcube_webmail_ispconfig

You can restart ISPConfig with: /etc/init.d/ispconfig_server restart

    Hans,

I'm using the MySQL version, only for one domain, to test and certify the stability. I only have this problem, but I will follow your tip and check about this databases problems.

    Thanks,

    Vinicius

To initialise the MySQL database you need the file mysql5.initial.sql or mysql.initial.sql, depending on the MySQL-version you are using. You can finde those files within ROundCubes SQL directory as well. The RoundCube stable release is planned to be released on 1 October, so you can test again ;)

Hello People had the same problem,

Hello People had the same problem,

the problem is the permission of the folder. / Trash /. Junk etc ...
chmod is a manual solution but I'm looking for a solution permanent.

Anyone know how to solve ?
