    Greetings
I recently installed Ubuntu 10.04 on my second desktop system. I have a Linksys USB wireless adapter and unable to connect to my cable modem which is directly connected to my main desktop system. I ran into this problem previously, but I cannot recall the steps to get the 2nd desktop online. If my memory serves me, there was some conflict between WPA & WPA2 and somehow in Terminal I had to remove one or the other. Can you help? Thanks, Ronnie:)

Does the connection work without any encryption or WEP (just for testing purposes)?

Did Ubuntu recognize your USB adapter? Maybe you need to install a driver.

I do not know how to accomplish that. The Software is written to be installed in Windows Vista (32 & 64), XP2K and XP64. So, I cannot install a driver. Thanks

What's the exact name of your USB device? Have you tried to google for a Linux driver for it?
