I've installed Squirrelmail following the Perfect Server for Debian 6. If I go tu http://www.mysite.tld/webmail Squirrelmail opens the login page but when I fill the login data it gives me the next error: Error opening ../config/default_pref Could not create initial preference file! /var/lib/squirrelmail/data/ should be writable by user www-data Please contact your system administrator and report this error. If I go to http://www.mysite.tld:8080/webmail it works fine Can you tell me what's that. Thanks
Did you configure SquirrelMail as shown in chapter 20.2 on http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-server-debian-squeeze-with-bind-and-courier-ispconfig-3-p6 ?
Yes I did. It works only if I login with address http://www.mydomain.tld:8080/webmail If I go to http://www.mydomain.tld/webmail I can fill the login page but when I click LOGIN it gives me the error. I was looking in the web and it seems that this problem is not new but I haven't see no solution.
