ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server

    ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server (Solved )

    Hi ,
    i have installed ubuntu 10.10 and using manual : Virtual Users And Domains With Postfix, Courier, MySQL And SquirrelMail (Ubuntu 10.10)

    but after installed finish i can't login to webmail via squirrelmail ,

    the error was i get this message " ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server " when try to login, and the last error message on /var/log/mail.log is :

    May 31 02:45:06 idcmail imapd: Connection, ip=[::1]
    May 31 02:45:06 idcmail authdaemond: authmysql: MYSQL_SERVER nor MYSQL_SOCKET set in/etc/courier/authmysqlrc.
    May 31 02:45:06 idcmail imapd: LOGIN FAILED, [email protected], ip=[::1]
    May 31 02:45:06 idcmail imapd: authentication error: Input/output error

    any advice , wich part that i missed / or wich part i should re-chek the configuration ?

    Solved

    :) , after I did the reconfiguration, and do step by step tutorials exactly from beginning... , I finally succeeded.

    detail " ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server " problem Solved was ,
    after we create new email account dan pass on "user" table under "mail" database , and try to login via squirrelmail before sending New email to new user email address ( in this case was Welcome email ) , the problem was we can not login , with error code " ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server " , as because the virtual home email direktory was not create yet.
