Connection dropped by IMAP server after sql-changepass

I have an ubuntu 10.10 server with ISPConfig 3.0.3.3 running in Hyper-V.

I used the perfect server tutorial for 10.10 ISPConfig 3 to set up. This server is in production and has been for over a month.

I tried to add the sql_changepassword plugin for squirrelmail using this tutorial at first http://www.howtoforge.com/virtual-u...x-courier-mysql-and-squirrelmail-ubuntu-10.10 then realized this was for ISPConfig2 after I had already run through it.

I then used http://www.howtoforge.com/how-to-co...heir-email-passwords-on-an-ispconfig-3-server to try to get it to work and to no avail.

I am still getting the Connection Dropped error. I have check all of the .cf files edited in the first tutorial to verify they were correct.

Please help this server is in production, and I can not figure this out. I can uninstall in reinstall squirrelmail from scratch if need be, I am just not quite sure how to do that.

 

I can't connect to it from the outside at all. I was able to connect before trying to add the plugin so no network changes have occurred.

 

This is an independent tutorial and has nothing to do with ISPConfig 2 or 3.

You say that you can't connect at all. Is it possible that fail2ban has locked you out?

 

I used the ISPConfig forums for this as I used the instructions provided on how to do this within ISP config. fail2ban has not locked me out I have even tried to create new mailboxes from a different system on a different network but I was unable to connect to those as well. I can connect to everything else ftp, phpmyadmin just not mail.

 

How do I do this?

How would I go about doing that?

 

To update ISPConfig from the command line, just run the command

No updates available

I tried the update and it tells me no updates are available. Any other suggestions?

 

Download the ISPConfig 3 sources, but instead of running

you run

Thanks Falko this seem to work. However now I can not connect to the SMTP with a mail client like outlook.
