Is there a way for the email system to notice when you are part of an email forward address and if so, not send that email to yourself?

For example if sending an email to [email protected] from [email protected], admin1 gets a copy of the email. I'm not sure if this is a function in sendmail or perhaps an option in ISPConfig.

That's not quite what I had in mind. Let's say that we have a distribution list (email forward in ISPConfig) that consists of three emails:

    admin1
    admin2
    admin3

and they are in an email forward titled [email protected], when admin1 sends an email to [email protected], they also get a copy of their sent message. Is there any way for the mail system to recognize when the sender is part of a distribution group and then not send it to the sender.

I don't think you can do it like this because this will create a mail loop.
