For anyone of you with access to the roadmap/feature requests: http://extplorer.sourceforge.net/ is a great, web based filemanager and would be a perfect companion to ISPConfig. One thing that is very important is to be able to unpack compressed files on the server. Installing a CMS that has several thousand files (Joomla has 4000+ files) takes a lot of time if you need to upload them one by one. Uploading the zip-file and unzipping is not only faster (by a magnitude), but also more secure - less chance one or more files gets corrupted in the upload.
You are right - I did mean ISPConfig 3. BUT - This page is to blame for the mistake: http://www.ispconfig.org/development/ Click on the link to the forum there, and you are taken directly to this section. A little misleading - it should go to a section where you have a list of forums that covers both ISPConfig 2 and 3 so the user have to choose. Not directly to the ISPConfig 2 subsection Maybe it would be better to make two links: ISPConfig 2 - http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=14 ISPConfig 3 - http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=23 This would be easier to understand for visitors.
