    Hello everybody, Sorry my english.

I want to install ISPConfig on a server HP Proliant ML110 with the next features:

    4gb ram
    1.5 Tb HDD (3 HDD x 500 Gb)

What is the best way to install ISPConfig and use the totally capacity of the hard drives?

I want to install on a Debian System.

    Already thank you very much

    Well, it's up to you.

Usually on servers the biggest partition is for /var where stores www, mail and db data.

With 3 harddrives you can keep in mind a RAID 1 (or RAID 5 if is supported by your hardware). It depends if you prefer capacity or security.

If I had this server may be I had used first disk for whole system and second and third for /var in RAID 1.

The best way is configure partitions manually, and the easiest way is all in one partition.

This is my partition scheme for ISPConfig on Debian 6

Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
    /dev/sda1 14G 346M 13G 3% /
    /dev/sda5 9.2G 149M 8.6G 2% /home
    /dev/sda8 7.4G 145M 6.9G 3% /tmp
    /dev/sda6 14G 931M 13G 7% /usr
    /dev/sda7 184G 35G 140G 21% /var

    Ok, thank you very much!

    Now, I have new questions:

    1) The information about mail, DB and www is store in /var right?
    2) Do you have any guide or tutorial about how to make the raid 1 with ISPConfig 3 + Debian 6?

    Thanks again!!! :)

Yes. This is what I said. :)

The best way is configure hardware RAID. Check your server's documentation, I'm pretty sure it supports at least RAID 1 and RAID 0.

Hardware RAID is transparent for OS and other software, when you install you see only one disk.

I had reading, and the server HP Proliant ML110 G6 support RAID 1 by hardware.

I will try to install the raid and operating system, and any thing let you know.

Thank you very much again from Venezuela :)
