May have entered wrong cert info

    I did the deb linux perfect server install (first one on list) got to the part when installing ispconfig 3 on the last page where it says:

    You are about to be asked to enter information that will be incorporated
    into your certificate request.
    What you are about to enter is what is called a Distinguished Name or a DN.
    There are quite a few fields but you can leave some blank
    For some fields there will be a default value,
    If you enter '.', the field will be left blank.

    Instead of hitting return and leaving them all blank, I entered my country, state, city, etc.

    I am now sitting at the common name prompt and just realized it.

    Is it alright to do this or can/should I abort and start over? If I should continue, should I leave the common name blank or put my server host and domain there?

    Common Name is the only relevant entry; put your server name there. The rest may or may not be filled in.

    Ok, I will enter that. The doc is wrong then because it just says to hit enter for everything.

    Some problems have more than one correct solution, and you did not ask for all of them. ;)
