Upgrade and Migration of an ISPconfig System Hi to All, I have an CentOS 5.8 x86 server that needs to be upgraded to a new version of CentOS 6.3 x86_64. It's running ISPconfig v3.0.4.2 Since I cannot do a 'inplace' upgrade, I've setup a new server, on a VM, at a remote site. I've followed the steps that Falko provided, up to the step of installing the ISPconfig 3.. Question: There is DB and files related to ISPc configuration that needs to be moved to the new server. So problems I can see, so far: - On the 5.8 config, DNS is chrooted, and on the new config it's not, so the ISPconfig DB will not reflect the correct installation; - How to move the mailboxes contents from one to another, without exporting and importing everything; - How to move DB and re-attach it on the new server; - Etc... What I need to know is what steps are needed to migrate all the related information for the new ISpconfig installation. Kind regards. JG
You can use imapsync, imapcopy, or IMAP TOOLS for it (we have tutorials for each here on HowtoForge). http://www.howtoforge.com/faq/6_3_en.html http://www.howtoforge.com/faq/6_4_en.html
