Applogies...posted the posting in the wrong area.... I'm having issues with getting amavisd to play nicely. Aug 31 14:31:55 vps amavis[21016]: (21016-01) (!)connect_to_sql: unable to connect to DSN 'DBI:mysql:database=dbispconfig;host=127.0.0.1;port=3306': Can't connect to MySQL server on '127.0.0.1' (13) Aug 31 14:31:55 vps amavis[21016]: (21016-01) (!!)TROUBLE in process_request: connect_to_sql: unable to connect to any dataset at (eval 88) line 241, <GEN15> line 4. Aug 31 14:31:55 vps amavis[21016]: (21016-01) (!)Requesting process rundown after fatal error I've checked the database, I've checked that you can correctly log into the database using the username ispconfig, but amavis is still not giving me any further debug.... I've done the usual google looks ups, but nothing so far.... some pointers would be useful. Thanks Max
Forgot to mention this is a Centos 6.3 installation, and the instructions were followed to the letter on the "How to build a perfect Centos 6.3 installation with nginx". I'm also running the latest 3.0.4.6 installation from fresh.
now fixed Arh - thanks FalKo... I figured it out in the end...turned up the logging in Amavisd...and the usually issue of "I am ~sure~ I disabled SELinux"...and then finding out that you've forgotten to switch off SELinux.... oh well....slap me down with a feather. SELinux been placed into Permissive for the moment until I can reboot and relabel the filing systems. Thanks for that....I genuinely do hate SELinux and everything that it encompasses. It just does stuff, without being that verbose (I suppose that is a security thing)....but it is still annoying none the less.
