Hi there! I'm testing ISPConfig with Ubuntu 6.06. It's working pretty well, but I'm a little confused about the FTP server (using ProFTPD). When I ftp into a site that was created in ISPConfig, it appears to go to a user's personal web/FTP space, not the root of the site. 1. Why is that, and how do I fix it (if I want it fixed?) 2. How would users ftp to the root of the web? 3. If using this feature, what URL would it be to access via the web? Thanks!
1+2) You must check the "administrator" checkbox in the user account, that shall get access to the root of the website. 3) http://www.yoursite.com/~username/ It is described in the user manual: http://www.ispconfig.org/downloads/manual_en/manual_kunde_en_src.htm Chapter 2.2.9
Aha! Aha, thank you for the information. Makes sense Now I just need to figure out how to stop from using "web#_<username>" because that doesn't look good on the username path Thanks again! --Verm
