If you use a windows desktop, then download he free termnal program "putty" which allows you to connect to your server with ssh.
Thanks Thanks for your answer. I will switch to Windows and try your solution I will prefer to stay on Mac, if possible... I was able to connect SSH using filezilla - not sure how to execute the commands there. Where can I find a list of the main commands, Unix?
putty exists for mac oS as well. Google e.g. "linux shell commands", first in the list: http://www.ss64.com/bash/
