Hi, I had an ubuntu server 12.04 installation set that hosted about 10 domains. The server handled the Apache, Bind, and Mysql for the websites in the current locations: virtual hosts: /etc/apache2/apache2.conf website directories: /var/ dns configuration: /etc/bind/ zone files: /var/lib/bind/ mysql databases: default directory don't know because I just used phpmyadmin to back them up. I backed up all the necessary files, installed a fresh installation of ubuntu server 12.04 and followed the link below in order to integrate a dedicated mail server on a second machine: http://www.howtoforge.com/multiserv...se-servers-on-debian-squeeze-with-ispconfig-3 I now have 2 servers 1 master server that acts as a web, dns, and db server and 1 slave that acts as a mail server. Now here is where I am having issues. I reconfigured the websites onto the default ubuntu directories listed above and the sites are all working, but ispconfig 3 is not being used, no info regarding zone files, virtual hosts, web directories, or db's is displayed on the control panel. I'm guessing it is just looking for these files in other locations. How can I reconfigure my setup so that ispconfig 3 reads my zone files, virtual hosts, databases, and website directories? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
ISPConfig shows only websites, email domains and dns zones that you created in ispconfig. It will not show you any sites or domains that you created manually outside of the controlpanel.
Ok, so the only way of ever adding any on ispconfig is to use its control panel for everything. Thank sucks lol. I am going to add all the sites through the control panel. How about this, is there any way of changing the path to a website directory through the control panel (from its default to /var)? Is there any way of changing the path that ispconfig looks for zone files on the control panel? If not I will just re-add all the info. Thanks again.
