[Solved] SMTP authentication does not work after OS upgrade We have recently upgraded the OS on our ISPConfig3-server from Ubuntu 10.10 to 12.04 LTS, most of ISPConfig is working fine after the upgrade, except SMTP authentication (clients who is set up to use authentication is not able to send mail), when SMTP-authentication is switched on, everything is working fine. Anyone whos has had the same issue or know a way to fix this? The only configuration we changed under the release upgrade, was to set a mysql root-password when we was prompted for doing so.
download the ispconfig tar.gz, unpack it and run the update.php script in the install folder and choose to reconfigure services during update.
Thanks for the rebly, but I found a solution changing /etc/postfix/sasl/smtpd.conf according to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cyrus-sasl2/+bug/875440/comments/34
