    Hey all,

    So far running ISPconfig on a Debian Wheezy based on the guide The Perfect Server - Debian Wheezy (Apache2, BIND, Dovecot, ISPConfig 3) for a few months with no problem whatsoever.

    However, recently, and after a server update I am getting the following error on all Joomla 3 based websites (total 4) running on the server.
    Error displaying the error page: Application Instantiation Error

    I have been trying to troubleshoot using guides on the internet related to Joomla (as I thought this is Joomla related) in no avail.

    Having the same problem on all websites (all were running smoothly) made me come to the conclusion that the issue seems to be my server.

    The issue comes and goes - websites run smoothly for almost 24 hours and I wake up in the morning to restart server (which resolves the problem) after getting this issue.

    Anyone can lend a code?

    Thank you,

    Hey,

    Did you try this Google search?
    error displaying the error page application instantiation error joomla 3.2
    There is a 6 minute video on youtube about it right at the top about it. Maybe there is some help.

    I have the same setup you have an also have Joomla 3.2 sites, everything is up to date and have no problem.

    solutions not to server wide operation

    I have tried searching for the solution in google.
    it seems that all solutions refer to the problem as a local problem per domain. Also, I have checked all the issues brought up buy the google search and seemingly everything is in place.

    The problem I am facing is for the whole server, it seems that the whole server for all domains go down.

    This happened after I update on the server and a new joomla template on one domain...
    It would be more logical if I received the error for one domain... but the whole server!!!

    Try to install munin and monit to be able to monitor your server more closely and to restart apache automatically when it is down / nor delivering the correct page.

    You also might try php.ini settings:
    display_errors = On
    error_reporting = E_ALL
    Sounds like the error page class has a problem, maybe it'll tell you what.
