ISPConfig made progress for a long time now for under the hood stuff but not on the gui side. I suggest a modern pleasant gui interface, maybe by using jqwidgets http://www.jqwidgets.com gui toolkit or whatever. We are working already on a new theme, it will be released as part of the next major version (3.0.6).
This is good news, can't wait for a new fresh sleek design. Maybe the mobile design could follow the new overhauled good looking for an ergonomy in adequation from one device to another
