Ok well I am back with more questions. I have been searching and searching, but obviously not using the right search terms for my question.

Again as a little background my server is configured using the perfect setup for Mandriva 2006 free. What must I do in order to cinfigure my postfix so that it will send and recieve mail from both of my domains? Currently it will recieve on my primary domain viriiguy.com, but not send. And it will not send or recieve on my other domain cybercoven.com.

    Thank you,
    Randy

The perfect setup configures your postfix to work for all of your domains.

Please check your mail.log for errors.

Well then something is not right, I have searched the entire drive and the is no mail.log that I can find. In /var/log/mail/ there is a file named info. It seems to be the only file that is written to.

This is the tail end of my log file. It always times out when it tries to send.

There might be more than one problem here.
It is possible that you have a problem with your Postfix config but from the logfile I think that the main problem here is a blocked post 25 since your log is littered with Connection timed out (port 25).

More and more ISPs are blocking port 25 outgoing to anything but their own smtp relay server. This is to reduce the impact of mass mailing worms.

Try this on the command line :
    Code:
    telnet gsmtp183.google.com 25

    You should se this :
    Code:
    Trying 64.233.183.27...
    Connected to gsmtp183.google.com (64.233.183.27).
    Escape character is '^]'.
    220 mx.gmail.com ESMTP g1si6967150nfe

    Type
    Code:
    quit
    to close the connection.

If that fails I suggest you check your own firewall settings and secondly check with your ISP for an outgoing SMTP-server to use.

The location of the mail log differs from distribution to distribution. I guess you're using Mandriva?

Ok well during the setup I tried telnet viriiguy.com 25 and connected fine, so I took this to mean port 25 was not blocked. But I cannot telnet to port 25 of gsmtp183.google.com. Nor can I connect to a couple other smtp servers I tried. But I can connect to my ISP's smtp server. SO would I be able to use their smtp to send out mails fron viriiguy.com and cybercoven.com?

If so what do I need to change?

And yes I am using Mandriva.

    Thanks,
    Randy
