Thats a command and not a line that you should place in a file, run: vi /etc/fstab which opens the fstab file in the vi editor.
Snapshot This is a snip of the step from the tutorial. Although I have modified the file a several times they have not worked and Have saved my file to reflect its original state shown like the tutorial.
the quota part has to be added after the word defaults and not at the end of the line. and also dont add the "to the ....".
clarification the first pic is of the instructions and the second is of my file. I don't the words "and add"......Looks as though my image did not upload.
