I am configuring stable ISPConfig3 in centos 7 and I am following the tutorial of this link https://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-server-centos-7-x86_64-nginx-dovecot-ispconfig-3-p2

when I finish installing ISPConfig3 and step reboot the vps I can not be accessed by any service that is above, http, ssh, ftp, etc. I installed ISPConfig3 in this VPS 3 times and it has happened to me the same on all other occasions, now to go discarding what my problem, I discovered that installing fail2ban and restart the vps or lift service all other stops responding, the point is that the documentation does not say whether to change something in the conf fail2ban or disable any firewall that brings fail2ban. at this moment I can not access my vps and this is working because I ping response, but I can not access through ssh.

    Stay tuned to your comments.

Fail2ban is no firewall and ispconfig does not enable any firewall during installation. Fail2ban does not cause any problems on a normal centos server, but if your vps is incompatible with fail2 ban, then leave out its install.

in the document The Perfect Server - CentOS 7 x86_64 (nginx, Dovecot, ISPConfig 3) on page 2 out fail2ban as part of the installation and configuration proeceso in you is based on fail2ban say then that would be incompatible with centos 7?

Also as I said, my vps is running and responds to ping, but services are not responding and this happened when it was installed fail2ban.

    Regards.

Fail2ban is compatible with centos 7, thats why it is part of that tutorial. I did not say that fail2ban is incompatible with centos, I said that your VPS might be incompatible with fail2ban.

I understand, but you are not very clear when it says that my vps may be incompatible with fail2ban. that could not be supported in soft that you are using virtualization, in my case is OpenVZ and I think this must endure well fail2ban, if it's hardware, vps has enough memory to handle this servcio, could you be more specific with your answers.

Running a iptables based software inside a openvz vps can cause the network connection to be blocked. See e.g. openvz wiki "Setting up a firewall that allows per-container configuration":

    http://openvz.org/Setting_up_an_iptables_firewall

you should talk with your ISP and ask them if they support fireawwls and other iptables based software in their vm's or not.
