Hi, we have ISPConfig 3 and we have a site that when you call it with www dot domain dot tld loads ok, but, when in the browser we put domain dot tld it asks for user/pass just like htaccess, but we haven't configured any restriction.

    thanks in advance.

Check dns and ensure that the domain points to the same IP with and without www.

both with and without www are pointing to the same IP, but it is a different DNS, not the one included in ISPConfig.

but, there is any default config that might be asking for user/pass and/or protecting folders without been configurated?

No. My guess is that you connect to 2 different servers when you use the domain with and without www or you did not use the default setup (domain.tld in website plus ato-subdomain = www in ispconfig).

it is solved, not an ISPConfig issue, my reverse proxy was lacking one line.
    thanks!
